Scopes and Objectives

This project aims to examine the London Community Recovery Framework, a plan outlining how the City of London can recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, and look for integrations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This framework includes metrics for community issues and part of this project will be mapping if metrics have a positive, neutral, or negative impact on each SDG. Students will devise a report that outlines how the framework can better integrate the SDGs, including suggested action items for this integration.

Our team aims to create a research report, multimedia presentation, and social media posts for City Studio London and Pillar Non-Profit. These deliverables will aid these organizations in assessing the integration of the SDGs through the London Community Recovery Framework (LCRF). It will also provide future direction through an action plan that outlines solutions to community issues and integration—to facilitate post-pandemic community recovery.

The project's stakeholders include CityStudio London, Pillar Nonprofit Network, and the City of London. It is crucial that we frame the content and tone of our deliverables in a way that is both accessible and appealing to these audiences. This will include lay summaries of pertinent literature and the incorporation of visual components to facilitate understanding.

Additionally, our team will have the opportunity to present our findings at the CityStudio Hubbub showcase in April 2023. This showcase is open to post-secondary students and municipal employees. Takeaways from our presentation can provide ideas pertaining to the implementation of SGDs in the London community. Therefore, our oral presentation at this event must be developed in a way that is clear and accessible to audiences of diverse educational and professional backgrounds.
