Team Goal

We aim to build a respectful team environment that promotes shared decision-making and celebrates each member’s diverse strengths. Through this project in collaboration with CityStudio London, our team aspires to create positive change in the London community and use what we learn to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and perspective-taking and practice global-mindedness in our future academic and professional careers.

Team Values

It is important for all members to be engaged in the success of our project and practice self-regulation in the completion of their assigned tasks. All members must maintain open and consistent communication with each other, course instructors, and community partners. All members must value each other’s opinions and contributions to the project. It is expected that all members meet course deadlines and deadlines established by the team.

Feedback will be provided within the team using comments on word documents and files, as well as following up with members about comments and any related questions. It is expected that any feedback provided is constructive and includes alternatives and suggestions for improvement.

Weekly Team Meetings

Weekly team meetings have been set to help us meet deadlines and maintain consistent communication. Our team meets in person every Thursday during the MEDSCI 4995 work period (9:30 – 11:30 AM). Ongoing communication occurs via Microsoft Teams for any concerns or questions outside of in-person meetings.

Communication within the Team

Conflict Resolution

Describe your service here. What makes it great? Use short catchy text to tell people what you offer, and the benefits they will receive. A great description gets readers in the mood and makes them more likely to go ahead and book.

Addressing Incomplete Work and Emergencies

Regarding miscommunications or incomplete work, our team values transparency and being open about any incomplete work. It is encouraged that members ask questions for clarification. It is also expected that members communicate promptly with the team regarding why work was not completed on time and how to further proceed to ensure our team is on the same page.

Any unexpected emergencies should be communicated to the team. If a team member is unable to make it to a meeting or work period session, it is expected that they will let the team know in the Teams channel. If work cannot be completed due to emergency or unforeseen circumstances, the group member should inform the group of the issue and redistribution of work will be considered in a fair and equitable manner.

Professionalism

As a team, we aim to show respect for our community partner’s time by being punctual and present at meetings. Strict punctuality is expected, and team members are responsible for communicating their lateness at the earliest opportunity. Members are also responsible for being engaged during meetings by asking questions and contributing to discussions.
